Meet George: the person behind the plans

George Jossa founded La Plata Landscape with a focus on transparent, reliable service. His approach looks at the whole property: what you want to enjoy, how water moves, how plants grow, and how the finished work will be cared for.

A day in George’s boots

Part planner, part plant detective, part coordinator. Good service means listening, explaining the work, coordinating the details and following through.

Design thoughtfully. Build carefully. Keep it growing.

Plan the whole outdoor space

We discuss your priorities, access, sunlight, soil and drainage before proposing improvements. A useful design balances the way you live with the conditions on your property.

Build spaces that work together

Patios, walkways, driveways and retaining walls shape how a landscape is used. Materials, preparation and water management all matter to the result.

Plant for the place

Thoughtful plant selection considers mature size, soil, moisture, sunlight and seasonal interest. Healthy roots and the right growing conditions help new plantings settle in.

Maintain and restore

Regular attention helps catch problems and protect the work already invested in a property. We connect lawn care, restoration, tree services and plant health with seasonal needs.

Good care looks beyond appearances

During a plant-health inspection, we look at leaves, new growth, stems, visible root flares and signs of pests or stress. We consider soil moisture, drainage, shade and planting conditions before recommending action. Symptoms can have several causes; further testing may be needed.

Across the property, maintenance means more than mowing. It includes caring for beds, watching plant growth, checking surfaces and lighting, and keeping water routes working. Near waterways, protecting planted buffers and keeping soil and excess nutrients out of runoff deserve special attention.

The planning you may never see

Good fieldwork depends on coordination. Behind the scenes, project information, estimates, materials, schedules and customer questions need to stay connected. Clear scope and communication help everyone understand what happens next.

What you can expect from the conversation

We listen to your goals, review site conditions, discuss the proposed work and explain care needs. If a larger project makes sense in stages, we can talk through priorities rather than trying to do everything at once.
